Day 21 of Praying for Kingdom Kids: Salvation

These last 21 day we have been praying for our children. We've been asking the Holy Spirit to mold their hearts.

Our prayer is that Lord will implant these attributes into our kids and help us instill these characteristic by using God's word as our guide. We pray for a Heart that is open and willing to walk with Christ, A Heart of Obedience, that they may Overcome Fear, that they may walk in Integrity, and Wisdom, but without Pride, being Honorable and Pure before God. We also prayed for them to be generous and have a  Servants Heart. We asked God that they may be humble enough to ask for forgiveness but also forgive those who have hurt them, and that they will also produce the Fruits of the Spirit which are: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithlessness, Gentleness, and Self-Control.

Today we conclude our 21 days of prayer with Salvation.

Truth is that in order for our children to obtain any or all these characteristics they have to open their heart and accept Christ as their personal Savior.

This my parents is where you come in, before you approach your child pray that the Holy Spirit will guide you and give you the wisdom on how to explain to them the importance of salvation. Read to them John 3:16 and ask them to repeat the prayer of salvation with you, but only if their willing to, do not force them, otherwise, it will not be sincere. If they refuse or feel they are not ready it's okay, pray over them at that moment and continue praying for them daily. Don't give up, give it a week and ask them again. Don't be dismayed because eventually God will touch their heart and they will accept Christ.

God's word says in Acts 16:31:

...“Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you and your household will be saved.”

There is nothing more important to me than the salvation of my children, and Mom, I'm pretty sure you feel the same. So let's pray that His Word will penetrate their heart, and empower them to live a life that is honoring and pure before God.
